Memories of a dear friend

Created by Trevor 2 years ago

We first met Pat and Ginny at Martlesham Squash Club.  Trevor playing him in a league game and having to put up with his horrible skankey shots.  We became good friends and played regularly.

We had our first foreign holiday driving to the South of France in Pat's blue Fiesta complete with luggage rack loaded and covered in plastic sheeting.  No air con, listening to the tape of Billy Connolly on the way down.  Great memories even a night when Trevor and Pat got very drunk.  He was always a joker and remember him standing out the caravan door cup of tea in hand and a carrot poking out the top of his shorts for everyone to see.

Pat was Trevor's best man in 1981 along with Pat and Ginny becoming parents in the same year.  Also godparents to our children.  Pat could never miss an opportunity to stir the children up, but one day it was to much for our younger son James who punched Pat in the arm.  Explain to a young child that is not what we do when however Patrick did deserve it.

We have had many happy occasions over the many years of Sunday roasts, bbq, christmas and new year, cycling for blackberries and numerous walks.

Pat always had something to say with a smile and a glint in the eyes and will be sadly missed by us all.  Hope they do Aspalls Cider wherever you are.  Cheers Pat
